Enjoying Patriotic Sips with Ryan Coyne of We The People Wine

Sipping on a glass of wine is almost always enjoyable, but it’s even more rewarding when you know you’re supporting good causes. We The People Wine serves up affordable wine from Napa Valley and donates a portion of each sale to military veterans, first responders, and their families.

Ryan Coyne is the CEO of We The People, and he’s on a mission to deliver tasty bottles to people while honoring America’s freedoms by supporting veterans and first responders.

Good People, Cool Things spoke with Ryan about We The People’s creation, the company’s wine club, and why giving back is so important.

Where did the idea for We The People Wine come from?

I took my passion and patriotism and wanted to create a company inspired by that. I wanted a wine that was high quality but affordable for all.

How does the club work?

The Working Warrior Foundation is essentially a donor advisor fund, so we pick a few different military-focused charities every year to give back to.

How have you helped grow the brand?

We continue to grow our brand by holding dinners and tastings, making daily phone calls to different partners in distribution, restaurants, etc., supporting different events through wine donations and meeting with people in the wine industry who are much more experienced than us to learn as much as we can....just to name a few.

Why is it important for you to donate to veterans and first responders?

At We The People Wine, we admire the sacrifices that all men and women in uniform make for all of us every day. They are the reason we are able to be here, in the US, living how we choose and starting our own wine brand. Because of that, we want to support them in any way we can

Do you have a favorite wine pairing?

Depends on the day or mood, but basically, any food with We The People Wine is a great pairing for us!

What's next for you?

We are working on a few different ideas as we speak, so stay tuned!
