#77: From the Vault: Barstool Poetry, Driving Cabs, and Publishing Books with Bob Makela
It’s been a rough week and a half, y’all. I’ve struggled with some sort of bug/sinus infection and…well, getting through an entire conversation has proved quite difficult. I had to reschedule a few interviews and while I am looking forward to bringing you all of those, there’s a bump in the road as to this week’s show.
BUT we will not let a little (okay, a lot of) pain slow us down! So, we’re reaching deep into the vault for an episode with someone that I think is still fascinating, even if this episode is nearly six years old. Plus, it’s always fun to look at old home movies, isn’t it?
Bob Makela, who, quite frankly, puts the Most Interesting Man in the World to shame, shares his wild world experiences. Bob has driven cabs, met a ton of characters, began a very cool event known as Barstool Poetry, has started an indie press and even has a few podcasts of his own (but please finish this one first). Now let’s get to it!
